Blog of a K2 Intern – Part 1

What’s up? I’m Wyatt, I like to ski, I’ve never been to Disney World, I hate asparagus, and my little sister’s name is Clare. Stay away.

Enough about me, let’s talk about what its like to intern with K2 Sports. Besides living in a motel that reeks of stale cigarettes, and driving a truck in 85 degree weather with windows that don’t work, it’s a pretty good time. By the way, if you’re one of the people who sends in sticker requests, I implore you to include a note with a self-deprecating joke.

Shout out to Callie for this dope Jellyfish

Earlier in the week I dug through a dusty old storage cage and came across this ski. I’ll skip the history lesson but this is THE ski that started K2, which was pretty f**king cool to hold in person.

Reason #3729 why K2 is coolest company to work for: going to the Seahawks practice facility and meeting the person responsible for winning Superbowl XLVIII. And of course, seeing Russell Wilson up close.

Some of you may be wondering, what is it that makes this kid so great that he landed this dope internship? The answer is simple– I’ve never seen the Notebook. I’m 98% sure that everyone else who applied was forced into seeing it by their girlfriend. Well I don’t have a girlfriend and if I’m going to watch a ‘chick flick’ it’s because I want to dissect Matthew McConaughey’s early work.

So if you want to see what it’s like to have a bar in your office, then stay away from Ryan Gosling. More to come…
