Shortly after getting home from Japan, I loaded up my car and drove out to Missoula, Montana, where I met up with Lynsey Dyer and the Warren Miller film tour crew. We skied at Snowbowl, and then attended “Like There’s No Tomorrow” premiere. It hadn’t snowed much before our arrival, but there was enough duff to get a decent shot. Lynsey had a good eye, and took the photo of me.

The next day we headed up to Whitefish and watched the Winter Carnival Parade. After the parade we judged the Black Star Beer Barter. The contestants of the barter had to convince the judges why they deserved 52 cases of Black Star Beer. The winner donated two VW buses to the brewery and went home with 52 cases.

The next day we skied at Whitefish Mountain Resort. The groomers were perfect, and the sun was shining bright. Here is a short video of skiing the cord.
After Montana I went back home and linked up with Tom Winter. We tried to shoot some photos, but ultimately linked up with a few of my cousins to ski around. The weather wasn’t ideal for shooting, but it was fun skiing. We hiked out into the bowls and it was socked in. Once we got to where we wanted to ski, it went blue for a few minutes. It was a nice change in pace after a few days of rain, light snow, and wind.

Now, I am in Sun Valley, ID filming with some K2 athletes. Lexi Dupont, Brita Sigourney, Anna Segal, Collin Collins, Mike Hattrup, Zach and Reggie Crist. It has been a very fun trip so far, and I will be here until about the 25th. We have been ski touring daily.

Ranging from a traverse from the ski area to a cabin 6 miles up the road from the ski area, to lapping small fun playful zones, to hitting jumps. It’s been a great trip so far and I look forward to the following week. Again, bring the snow.

The film travels to the furthest reaches of the planet and with a focus on mountain sport athletes who push the boundaries of their craft to sometimes unthinkable limits and dire consequences.
